*** WARNING *** New York State has imposed a state-wide ban on all outdoor burning due to the extremely dry weather and the risk of wild fires. The ban went into effect on March 15 and runs through May 16. Please obey this state-imposed directive.
February 9, 2012 - Notice from the Town Clerk: All dogs must be licensed through the Town Clerk's Office. New York State no longer handles the dog licenses. Please visit the Clerk during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Call 297-5771 for information.
February 8, 2012 - Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 20th for President's Day.
January 30, 2012 - Court will NOT be in session on 1/31, 2/2, and 2/7.
January 10, 2012 - Town of Wappinger Offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2012 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
December 14, 2011 - Between November 1 and April 1 of each year, there will be a Snow Ordinance in effect for all town of Wappinger streets and public highways. No vehicles will be allowed to park on any of these roadways between the hours of 12 midnight and 8:00a.m. If any car is found parked on or partly on, a town roadway during this time period, it will be ticketed and a fine of between $50 and $100 will be assessed.
